Global Trade Compliance Specialist

MKS Materials Solutions Division is looking for a Global Trade Compliance Specialist (m/f/d) as part of the Global Operations as soon as possible.

You will be the face of Trade Compliance department, towards central as well as local teams or customs authorities to assure conformity with import- and export regulations, customs tariff codes etc. This is a newly built-up function in the Division that gives the opportunity to bring in your expertise to a mature and innovative company.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyzing product information to determine HS codes for chemical goods to 40 sales markets multiple regions (ASIA, EMEA and AMAS)
• Determination of applicable ECCN/ECN numbers in accordance with multiple sales markets
• Support and training of local logistics, supply chain and sales organizations
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of existing import / export processes globally
• Implementation and use of trade compliance IT systems (AEB)

Your skills and competences:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a global trade environment with import and export activities for a multinational company
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with chemical knowledge
• Good technical and chemical understanding
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High conscientiousness and care
• Affinity and understanding for digital and operational processes.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical skills, goal orientation, structured approach and ability to reduce complexity.
• Willingness to travel on business occasionally locally and abroad.
• Advantage: SAP R3 know-how
• Advantage: experience in AEB classification and/or AEB export controls
