Role: Manager R&D EL
Job Location: Manesar

 

Purpose of job:
To lead and inspire the electronics R&D team in Atotech. This is a critical role aligned with our global strategy to leverage ADC for product development. Some of the key tasks would include – 

  • Mentoring and coaching the team for product development
  • Liaise with the global counterparts to ensure smooth communication and troubleshooting of projects
  • Compliance with safe running of the labs, report review submission and IP protection
  • Support in strategic initiatives that further the EL business through efficient execution of projects

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the preparation of a R&D-plan; setting objectives and milestones for devel-opment projects
  • Project management and controlling, if necessary, initiation of corrective actions
  • Formulation of new products and optimization of existing products
  • Development of specifications for production and raw material
  • Supervision of field tests at customers
  • Support of troubleshooting
  • Initiation of patent research / patent reviews as well as creation of own patents in collabora-tion with the IP department
  • Ensuring the secrecy of the area of operation


Qualifications / Professional Experience:

  • PhD in Chemistry / M. Tech - Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 - 12 years of exp.
  • Preferred experience in relevant electroplating industry with exposure to the electronics business
  • Alternately has good exposure / experience in industries like Polymer, Pharma, Petro Chem, ex-perience in simulations and modelling.
