Role: Development Chemist 
Job Location: Manesar

 

Purpose of Job

  • Performing sample investigations as per internal and external customer request. Partner with R&D teams in the development of products and processes using analytical techniques. 
  • Characterization of additives, identification of unknown compounds and troubleshooting. 
  • Processing orders in the organics analytics area in consultation with the team leader. 
  • Abiding by HSE rules, conducting product & bath sample analysis as per ISO, SOP and WW analytical methods. 
  • Performing calibrations and maintaining calibration records, logbook and analytical reports.  

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Carrying out sample investigations as per internal and external customer request. 
  • Executing 5S/4R, abiding by HSE rules, conducting product/ bath analysis as per ISO, SOP and WW analytical methods for quality and process control. Ensure PPEs compliance & safe disposal of chemical waste in lab.
  • Support in development of products and processes, method development in the area of responsibility.
  • Troubleshooting of instruments as well as customer bath problems.
  • Documentation of analytical processes and investigations according to ISO 9001/14001/45001.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of  projects/process information and abiding by Atotech compliance policy is strictly mandatory.
  • Prepare PRs, report monthly data of sample analysis with clear manhours & equipment utilization, and instrument management in SAP-PM.
  • Maintenance of equipments and spare parts
  • Lead projects, as required.
  • Ensure safe working environment, contribute in maintaining descipline and cleanliness in the laboratory


Qualification

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry
  • Specialisation in the area of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry

 

Desired Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Handling of analytical instruments like UV, GC, HPLC, LCMS, pH/Conductivity Meter, autotitrator etc.
