Summary
Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect works with MKS Teams, IT, Cloud, and business stakeholders to effectively create an Enterprise Architecture framework. Develops a cloud first strategy that aims to enhance business value and acquire new opportunities. Lead the design, development, and deployment of solutions on cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and create an Enterprise Architecture framework with focus on Cloud Services.
- Develop and maintains the cloud strategy, discovering business and use cases within MKS
- Promote, negotiate, and deliver solutions in Cloud migration and Cloud based projects.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of solutions on cloud platform.
- Create cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, IAM, etc.
- Work with stakeholders to support existing and new Cloud solutions
- Keep up to date with market and trends and evaluate new business/IT opportunities for the organisation.
- Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to identify internal opportunities that bring value to the company.
- Design policies and guidelines related to cloud architecture
- Create operational documentation for cloud solutions
- Participate to architectural board, negotiating and evaluating opportunities for the business and IT.
- Coach, train, and mentor internal and external engineers to follow IT Architecture.
- Develop and maintain the Architecture Repository
- Develop a business continuity model
Experience & Education
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Business Computing or other relevant disciplines (Master´s preferred, otherwise longer work experience)
- More than 10 years of experience in progressive infrastructure/software engineering/IT business domain
- Experience of working on cloud infrastructure and solutions (possibly AWS)
- Strong systems thinking, pragmatic and creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- IT Architecture certification (e.g., Togaf).
- Infrastructure Security experience
- Knowledge of Cloud best practices and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive team player who is ready to learn, help and enjoys working with their teammates.
Desirable
- Experience (certification) with Project Management/Agile development methodologies.
- Business experiences or economic studies (MBA, Business School etc.)
- Quality management certifications (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
- Experience working for large scale enterprise applications.
- AWS or Terraform certification would be added advantage.
- DevOps framework experience
- Orchestration frameworks: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Relational, non-relational database knowledge
- Experience in Configuration management: GIT, GITHUB, Codecommit.
