Area Manager - Sales & Technical

Job Location - Kolkata


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales in assigned area
  • Achieving the agreed sales revenue targets from the assigned area
  • Targeting additional business through gaining new customers with frequent visits and product trials
  • Resolve all customer issues and complaints within reasonable time. Escalation in case of non-resolution at regional level
  • To ensure timely payment collections & achieve monthly collection targets
  • Responsible for Product level forecasting and its accuracy for the Area
  • Responsible for handling and resolving all business issues of distributors in the assigned Area
  • Ensure timely completion of Performance reviews of team as per guidelines
  • Responsible to submit Monthly / Weekly business updates and reports to all concerned
  • Feed DA’s /Order and coordinate dispatch with credit control
  • To retain the share of business and ensure growth at assigned customers or Area
  • Drive price increase initiatives to protect margins
  • Constantly build long term business relationship with direct customers and customers through distributors as well
  • Regularly share customer / market updates with RBM & PMM
  • Identify new sales opportunities and work closely with PMM team to win new business
  • Maintain a 360-degree view of market and map competitor activities
  • Champion safety initiatives within Atotech & at customer site


Qualifications / Professional Experience:

  • M.Tech / M.E – Chemical / Electroplating with min. 6 years of exp. From relevant industry
  • B.Tech / B.E – Chemical / Electroplating with min.6 - 8 years of exp. From relevant industry
  • Diploma – Chemical / Electroplating with min. 8 - 10 years of exp. From relevant industry
  • M.Sc/B.Sc – Chemistry /Electrochemistry  with  8 – 10 years  of exp. From relevant industry

Knowledge & skills required:

  • Relevant expertise in electro-plating & or Paints
  • Skills in MS Office & SAP
  • Good knowledge of English & Regional Language (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
