Senior Development Engineer (m/f/d) - Process engineering

The role of the Senior Development Engineer (m/f/d) – Process engineering is to support the development teams and other specialist departments in the process engineering design and calculation of production plants for wet chemical surface treatment. You will work closely with our international teams on development and process optimization projects. In this role, you will be an important part of our process team which, together with our design engineers and chemists, contributes decisively to the implementation of new applications and processes for our plants and chemistry.

Your responsibilities

• Development of production plants for wet-chemical surface treatment and plant components with a focus on processes
• Independent implementation and follow-up of development projects 
• Testing, qualification and evaluation of components and systems as well as their process integration
• Further development of existing plants and auxiliary equipment
• Close worldwide cooperation with interdisciplinary technical groups to deliver outstanding results for our end customers
• Preparation of reports, presentations and documents and their maintenance and administration
• Contact person for process engineering designs and calculations

What you bring to the table

• Dipl.-Ing., BEng. or MSc. Process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable studies
• Practical experience in the conception, calculation and implementation of process improvements
• Knowledge of wet chemical processes, especially electroplating, desirable
• Knowledge of pump technology, filtration technology and piping systems desirable
• Experience in plant engineering
• Initial experience with project management, FMEA and risk analysis
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and a structured working style
• High flexibility and willingness to travel (worldwide)
