Role: Engineer - Sales & Technical Support

Job Location: Chennai


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales & tech support for key customers in the designated area -this includes plant commissioning, regular tech support, trouble shooting, payment collections, increasing business share, introducing new products, process audits, making continuous improvement program for his customers, etc
  • Assist area manager in achieving the budgeted sales for the area by working closely with regional sales team, major customers and new projects
  • Assist product management team in obtaining feedback from customers regarding product performance and need for new products in order to meet market demands
  • To support other colleagues in the region in commissioning, trouble shooting, projects, process audits and new product launches
  • Responsible for timely submission of business reports to area manager and submission of visit reports in C4C
  • Responsible for monthly product forecast for his customers to achieve forecast accuracy target


Qualifications / professional experience

  • Chemical Engineer (B.E / B.Tech) or Chemistry graduate(M/Sc) with 1-3 years of experience in Electroplating Industry
  • Experience in sales & technical support, especially in commissioning, trouble shooting and plant audits
  • Basic knowledge of computers, proficient in MS office (Excel, word, Power point)
  • Good Presentation skills and communication skills.
  • Confident, presentable and should have a pleasing personality with good interpersonal skills and able to maintain good professional relationship with customers and internal team

Flexible in working hours, especially during trouble shooting and new plant commissioning
