Team Manager (m/f/d) - R&D/Semiconductor (SC)

In your role as Team Manager (m/f/d) - R&D SC you will be accountable for the on-time delivery of new products/processes for the metallization of surfaces in the semiconductor industry. Your deep knowledge will help you tailor new products and processes from academic stages to industrial products to push the current technical boundaries. Through direct contact with stakeholders as well as key customers you will broaden your expertise and bring it to the next level. You lead a team of 8 employees.

 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the allocated area including leading and developing a team
  • Accountable for the on-time delivery of new products/process including project management and monitoring (R&D plan preparation, setting objectives and milestones)
  • Formulation of new products and optimization of existing products. Development of specifications for production and raw material
  • Support of Raw Material Qualification-related activities
  • Supervision of field tests at customers incl. troubleshooting
  • Close cooperation with other functions/specialist divisions
  • Preparation, maintenance and management of documentations and reports (ISO-conform)
  • Initiation of patent research/patent reviews as well as creation of own patents in collaboration with the IP department. Ensuring the secrecy of the area of operation

 

 

What you bring to the table

  • Degree in chemistry, engineering, or similar qualification; PhD recommended
  • Adequate years of relevant professional experience in the field of semiconductor. Experience in Electroless processes for surface finishing application as well as Electrolytic processes for the deposition of copper would be an advantage but not a must
  • Resilient and collaborative leadership personality with strong emotional intelligence
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mindset, coupled with high implementation strength and strong quality awareness
  • Confident, authentic communicator at eye level combined with excellent project and multi-stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Very good user knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to undertake frequent national and international business trips
