Surface Coater/Electroplater (m/f/d)

In your role as Surface Coater/Electroplater (m/f/d) in the area of Plastic Coating & Decorative Coating you will be part of a global, cross-functional team to translate customer requirements into Atotech solutions. You will support the development of new products and processes for wet chemical surface treatment. You will work closely with our international teams on development and process optimisation projects. In this role, you will support your colleagues in metrological and chemical tasks to drive the projects forward.

Your responsibilities

• As a shift worker (in a two-shift system), you will ensure that the processes run smoothly and that the team spirit in your area works well to achieve the goals together
• Qualification and evaluation of new products and processes, as well as their implementation in electroplating practice and further development of existing products and processes
• Preparation, execution and evaluation of tests to support research & development projects in the area of responsibility
• Independent preparation, maintenance and administration of reports and related documentation
• Carrying out maintenance and repair work
• Work in accordance with applicable quality and environmental management systems
• Compliance with and monitoring of safety regulations
• Working with apprentices during their time at the PoP facility

Your skills and competences

• Completed training as a surface coater (m/f/d) with proven experience in the area of plastic coating or decorative coating
• Several years of work experience and good technical knowledge in the field of metal finishing
• Willingness to work shifts (6-14 hrs or 14-22 hrs)
• Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs
• Careful, conscientious way of working as well as a high understanding of quality. Professional/situational appearance, communication and teamwork skills and flexibility
• Carrying out business trips worldwide
